Different approaches should be taken when selling products or services to a man when compared to a woman. As they say men are from mars and women from Venus both of them think very differently hence, their thinking should be influenced by different methods.
For example, when a man decides to buy a car he looks for the latest model, speed, mileage, etc. But when a woman goes to buy a car she will choose a car depending on the color. She would like to match it either with her work dress or accessories and will be concerned whether there is enough space to store her necessities. Because their psychologies differ so much, they should be convinced to buy a product using different methods.
Presentation is also very important. The salesperson talking to a male client doesn’t have to concentrate on their own looks and cleanliness. It is okay if he doesn’t have the required documents on hand and his sleeves are folded up. But when the same salesperson is referring to a female client, he should be spotless from head to toe. He should comb his hair properly, have manicured nails and even his shoes should be well-polished. The salesperson should be prepared with all the necessary documents before hand and shouldn’t go rushing in front of the customer. Women seek perfectionism.
Words should be spoken with extra care in front of a woman customer. Women are better listeners and will analyze each spoken word. A lot of emotion should be involved in the talking because women are drawn to emotions immediately. Such as when selling clothes to a woman, tell her how you feel bad for her if she has to sweat in the summer due to the nature of her job. Pick a nice cotton dress for her and ask her to try it on. The customer will be highly touched and will take less time to buy the product. Seventy five percent of the job is done if she is won emotionally.
Next important point is to never stop talking in front of the female customer. The moment the salesperson stops talking, she will start thinking deeply about the product and will start examining every detail of the product and give a second thought to the product. Women have the capability of multi-tasking. They will be able to listen as well as read the manual at the same time. So keep her involved in many things at the same time.
Most men lack the talent of multi-tasking. If a male client gets involved with something else, stop speaking immediately because he will be unable to concentrate on both things and it will lead him into a confused state.
It’s generally not a good idea to have a woman salesperson when a male client is to be handled. Women talk a lot and men are bad listeners. The woman salesperson will go on about the product and the man will just nod his head without getting any meaning out of it. On the other hand, a woman client can easily express how much she has followed along.
Even if she doesn't speak, her facial expressions will tell it all. So when a salesperson is dealing with a female customer, he or she should watch out for the client’s expressions. If she shows any state of confusion or dislike, try taking a different approach.
Male clients can be made to understand about the product with a simple drawing. Men have good capability of visualizing the three dimensional images of the product which is being referred to. But women are not so good at that. To present a clear picture, the sample or the actual product should be shown to her.
Complimenting a male customer is a very good idea. He will be over whelmed and will take it in a good sense. But a woman is a careful listener, so any compliment should be given with extra care. Any fake compliment will be immediately detected.

Does Your Website Give Enough Contact Information?
When you sell from a website, your customer can buy your products 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week. Your customers may be from other states that are thousands of miles away. Always provide contact information, preferably on every page of your website, complete with mailing address, telephone number and an email address that reaches you.
People may need to contact you about sales, general information or technical problems on your site. Also have your email forwarded to another email address if you do not check your website mailbox often. When offering customers the option to buy online provide enough options like credit card, PayPal or other online payment services, don’t give them any reason to leave a sale behind.

Understand Your Target Customers
If you design a website you think will attract clients, but you don’t really know who your customers are and what they want to buy, it is unlikely you won’t make much money.
Website business is an extension or replacement for a standard storefront. You can send emails to your existing clients and ask them to complete a survey or even while they are browsing on your website ask them to complete your survey.
Ask them about choices they want to see. Why do they like your products? Are your prices consistently lower than others? Is your shipping price cheaper? Do you respond faster to client questions? Are your product descriptions better? Your return policies and guarantees better than your competitor’s? To know your customer you can check credit card records or ask your customer to complete a simple contact form with name, address, age, gender, etc. when they purchase a product.

Must Do's For Your Website.
Over the next several days I am going to go over somethings you must do or must do when designing your webpages. Things you need to do to draw the search engines to your website and things you must do to keep your customers coming back and staying longer.
1) Just don’t focus on the home page, keywords and titles.
The first step to sales when customers visit your site to see the products they were looking for. Of course, search engine optimization and better rankings can’t keep your customer on your site or make them buy. The customer having visited your site, now ensure that he gets interested in your products or services and stays around.
Motivate them to buy the product by providing clear and unambiguous information. Thus if you happen to sell more than one product or service, provide all necessary information about this, may be by keeping the information at a different page. By providing suitable and easily visible links, the customer can navigate to these pages and get the details.

Why SEO or Search Engine Optimization is Important
The Importance of Search Engines
It is the search engines that finally bring your website to the notice of the prospective customers. When a topic is typed for search, nearly instantly, the search engine will sift through the millions of pages it has indexed about and present you with ones that match your topic. The searched matches are also ranked, so that the most relevant ones come first.
Remember that a prospective customer will probably only look at the first 2-3 listings in the search results. So it does matter where your website appears in the search engine ranking.
Further, they all use one of the top 6-7 search engines and these search engines attract more visitors to websites than anything else. So finally it all depends on which search engines the customers use and how they rank your site.
It is the Keywords that play an important role than any expensive online or offline advertising of your website.
It is found by surveys that a when customers want to find a website for information or to buy a product or service, they find their site in one of the following ways:
• The first option is they find their site through a search engine.
• Secondly they find their site by clicking on a link from another website or page that relates to the topic in which they are interested.
• Occasionally, they find a site by hearing about it from a friend or reading in an article.
Thus it’s obvious the the most popular way to find a site, by search engine, represents more than 90% of online users. In other words, only 10% of the people looking for a website will use methods other than search engines.
All search engines employ a ranking algorithm and one of the main rules in a ranking algorithm is to check the location and frequency of keywords on a web page. Don’t forget that algorithms also give weightage to link population (number of web pages linking to your site). When performed by a qualified, experienced search engine optimization consultant, your site for high search engine rankings really does work, unless you have a lot of money and can afford to pay the expert. With better knowledge of search engines and how they work, you can also do it on your own.

10 Steps To Success In Direct Sales.
The other day I talked about what is Direct Sales and are you right for the Direct Sales field, if you said you are right for Direct Sales then here are ten steps that will assure your success:
1. BE A GOAL SETTER. What do you want to accomplish? Do you want to save for college education for your children? A new car? A new home? You can have whatever you want, but you must want it enough to do the things that have to be done to get it. Whatever
your goal, write it down and set a target date for reaching it.
Divide the time period into blocks of achievable goals. Work consistently toward accomplishing each day, each week, each month what you set out to do. Goal-setting is a must in every area of life. Little is ever accomplished without definite goals.
2. BE A LIST MAKER. Each evening list all the things you want to get done the following day. That gives you an organized approach to each day. As each task is finished, mark it off your list. It is amazing how much gets done when one works with a "things-to-do" list.
Also, have a notebook listing appointments, potential clients, repeat clients, and referrals, and keep it with you at all times. You will be adding to it constantly.
3. BE ENTHUSIASTIC. Enthusiasm is the high-octane "fuel" that salespeople run on. Enthusiasm generates its own energy. Energy and good health are synonymous with busy, happy people, people who are achieving.
4. RECOGNIZE THAT THE MAGIC WORD IN SALES IS "ASK." In direct sales we don't have to wait for business to come to us. We create our own business by asking for it. Ask for appointments, then you can do business. Ask for business, then you will close sales. Ask for referrals, then you always have a full list of potential
clients. Be quietly, yet firmly aggressive.
5. EXPECT NO'S. Realize that no's are not personal. In sales, as perhaps nowhere else, the law of averages works. Every no gets you closer to a yes. Keep track of your ratio. It will help improve your techniques. Are you getting ten no's to one yes? Is your ratio five to one?
Remember, the yes's are your income. Also remember that "no" does not necessarily mean "no." Often a "no" is simply a stall for more time to think. It may be a request for more information about your product or your service. What your
client is actually buying is assurance. Assure here by your helpful attitude and your complete honesty, that you want what is best for her. She will most likely respect you and do business with you.
6. SCHEDULE TIME WISELY. A schedule is the roadmap by which salespeople travel. It takes the frustration out of the day. It assures that the necessary things get done and get done on time. Plan your work then work your plan.
7. BE POSITIVE IN YOUR ATTITUDE. Success in sales, as in all areas of life is 90 percent attitude and 10 percent aptitude. All of us must work at developing habits of constructive thinking. I am proud to be a salesperson. Sales make the wheels of our economy turn. Bernard Baruch, advisor to several presidents, is quoted as saying, "If every salesperson sat down and took no orders for twenty-four hours, it would bankrupt our country!"
Every company that manufactures any kind of product depends upon salespeople to move that product. Without salespeople business would be paralyzed.
Remember, sales is one of the highest paid of all professions. Statistics show that good salespeople enjoy incomes far above the average.
8. HAVE AN OFFICE AREA. Most direct salespeople work from their own homes, but it is essential to have a place where you can work in a organized and efficient manner. An office plus a strict working schedule gives you dignity. Both are absolutely essential for efficient operation and accurate record keeping, so important
to the success of any business.
9. BE INVOLVED. Most sales organization offer contests to stimulate production. Include winning contests as part of your business goals. Contests make your business fun as well as adding considerable dollar value to your income.
10. LEARN TO HANDLE MONEY INTELLIGENTLY. A regular nine-to-five job usually means a paycheck at the end of the second week. Direct sales "reps" handle money constantly. Direct sales is instant income and constant income. Therefore. it is absolutely
necessary to become an efficient money manager.
Deposit every penny collected from clients into a checking account set up especially for your business. Since bank statements show an exact record of all monies collected, and business expenses can be verified by canceled checks, record keeping becomes simple and accurate. Everything except a few "petty cash" transactions can be directly taken from bank statements.
Money saved regularly and gaining interest, soon develops a second income in addition to earned income. A long-term goal, which is realistic in direct sales, is to be able to live in retirement off the interest earned on savings.
1. BE A GOAL SETTER. What do you want to accomplish? Do you want to save for college education for your children? A new car? A new home? You can have whatever you want, but you must want it enough to do the things that have to be done to get it. Whatever

Make Huge Money With Mini Sites.
Most Internet marketers understand that having mini sites is the fastest and easiest way to make money online. They don't require a lot of time, energy, or money to set up, and once you've got one up and running, you can sit back and just collect money from all the sales you're making.
At least... that's how it's supposed to be, right?
The truth is that mini sites really ARE easy to set up. They really DON'T require much time, energy, and money to set up. So why is it that so few
people actually make money with their mini sites?
The answer is that they never learned how to actually turn their mini site into a profitable moneymaker that runs completely on autopilot. The good news is...
*************************************************
YOU'RE ABOUT TO LEARN HOW TO DO IT!
*************************************************
Here's what this is all about: My colleague Michael Rasmussen has just released a brand new video course that will walk you through the process of creating a killer mini site from the ground up, and then he'll also teach you how to actually start making money with it right away and into the future.
If you've been looking for help with monetizing your mini sites, then this is exactly what you need. The best part? The videos are FREE! I'll tell you more about that later. First, let's talk about the videos themselves.
If you're in a hurry, you can just check the
videos out right now for free. Here's the URL:

OVERALL QUALITY
*************************************************
It's important to note that these are online videos that you access from your web browser. Michael uses Camtasia Studio to create these videos, which is
the premier software program for creating screen capture tutorials such as these.
The first thing I noticed when I hit the play button on the first video was the incredible production quality. These are NOT your ordinary screen capture videos. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen someone make videos that are this high quality before. He uses beautifully created graphics to pass his wisdom along to you, and the sound quality is the highest you will ever hear in an Internet marketing product. They sound like they were recorded in a professional studio.
Michael explained to me that he was sick and tired of seeing all the low quality videos out there, and so he set out to create something different in order to raise the bar in our industry. I think that, when you see Mini Site Profits Exposed for yourself, you'll agree that he has succeeded.
Now let's move onto...
*************************************************
THE ACTUAL VIDEOS
*************************************************
Here's a brief summary of some of the videos. Obviously it's impossible to list every single thing here about each video, there are way too many of these great video, but I want you to get a feel for what some of them covered, and how well they are covered.
If you're in a hurry, you can just check the
videos out right now for free. Here's the URL:

VIDEO 1 - INTRODUCTION
This videos introduces you to the entire course, as well as the teacher himself. You'll learn what you can expect from the course, and why it's structured the way it is. Michael realizes that you may not have heard of him, and so he spends some time establishing his credibility with you by sharing some of his biggest successes. It doesn't come across as bragging at all. Michael explains that, in order for you to get value from the teachings, you need to have faith that the teacher actually knows what he's talking about. By the end of this video, you will have no doubt.
By the way, this is a good lesson for all of us product developers. If you want people to accept you as an authority on any subject, you first need to establish your credibility with the reader. That way he's willing to relax, and trust that what you're telling him is sound advice.
VIDEO 2 - THE BASICS
This video will introduce you to the basics of mini site marketing. This will set the foundation that all future learning will rest upon, so it's important to pay close attention to this one.
You'll learn:
* What mini-sites are, and what makes them different from regular content sites.
* The right mindset to have when it comes to creating mini sites as part of your online business strategy.
* And the different tools you need to get started.
This was a great video, and did an excellent job of kicking things off, and building the foundation for the rest of the course.
VIDEO 3 - SQUEEZE PAGES
This is probably one of the most useful videos of the entire course. Every Internet marketer needs to build an email list, but how do you do it? What is the best way to capture the most opt-ins?
The answer is 'squeeze pages'. This video will teach you:
* Why using a squeeze page is far superior to other opt-in methods.
* The single most important thing you must include at the top of your squeeze page to skyrocket your opt-in rate.
* The secret structure of a squeeze page, and why most marketers get it wrong (which costs them a LOT of money).
After watching this video, you'll know everything you need to know to start building a massive opt-in list right away. You'll be so excited about the possibilities, that I guarantee you'll go and create your own squeeze page right away.
VIDEO 4 - MINI SITE COPYWRITING - PART ONE
Nothing happens until the sales copy is written. Graphics alone will never sell a product, but sales copy alone WILL.
Specifically, you'll learn:
* Why you need to learn copywriting, even if you "hate to write"
* What a compelling offer looks like, and how to tell the difference.
* A simple trick you can use in your opening to make your reader want to learn more.
There is no skill that is more important to your success than the ability to write killer sales copy. Make sure you pay extra attention to this video, as well as...
VIDEO 5 - MINI SITE COPYWRITING - PART TWO
This video dives right into the individual components of a killer sales letter. You'll learn how to create the "secret structure" of a mini site sales letter that makes big money. Specifically, you'll learn:
* How to create captivating body copy that draws your reader into the sales letter.
* Bullets that force your reader to keep reading the whole page, and makes them insanely curious and want to buy your product
* How to craft your 'call to action', and get people to whip out their credit cards and buy immediately.
This video covered a surprising amount of detail, especially considering that this course is not specifically about copywriting. Michael Rasmussen is definitely someone who overdelivers in his educational products.
VIDEO 6 - HOW TO AUTOMATE THE DELIVERY OF YOUR INFOPRODUCT
This video will walk you through the process of automating your product delivery, so you can just relax, and collect the money. The best part is... once you have this automated system set up, you never have to touch it again.
VIDEO 7 - HOW TO "GROW" YOUR SALE
This video is guaranteed to be an eye opener for almost everyone who watches it, even the experienced marketers. Michael dives into some of the most effective 'upselling' techniques that I've ever seen. You'll learn:
* The psychology of 'upselling', and how to use it make your customer spend even more money with you. The best part? He'll think it was his idea!
* The absolute best time to upsell your customer. This one will surprise you when you realize how much money you've been leaving on the table by skipping this step.
* 5 simple techniques to increase your profit by up to 100%.
VIDEO 8 - CREATING AN AFFILIATE SALES FORCE
If there's one thing I've noticed that all successful marketers have in common, it's that they have a great affiliate program. They create a program that allows other people to make good money by promoting their products, and they get to just sit back and relax, while everyone else is doing the hard work of promoting FOR them.
Michael will teach you:
* What an affiliate program is, and how to set one up very quickly.
* Exactly what tools you need to give your affiliates (most people miss the mark here, so pay extra attention to this part).
* Why merely having an affiliate program is NOT enough to convince people to sign up, and what you can do instead to have people eagerly trying to become one of your affiliates.
VIDEO 9 - MINI SITE MISTAKES TO AVOID
VIDEO 10 - SECRETS OF CREATING A PRODUCT FUNNEL
VIDEO 11 - OUTSOURCING SECRETS FOR WORKING LESS, AND MAKING MORE
VIDEO 12 - OUTSOURCING SECRETS FOR WORKING LESS, AND MAKING MORE
Wow, I'm running out of room, but, you get all these videos for FREE? Click here to check out the Mini Site Profits Exposed course for yourself:

What Is Direct Sales And Is It Right For You?
Every year thousands of men and women across America sign on with
direct selling firm-Tupperware, Pampered Chef, Amway, or a cosmetic
company-hoping to make money enough for new draperies, a new
sofa, or some new clothes. They sell a little merchandise to
a few relatives and close friends. Then they throw in the towel. They
quit before they give themselves a chance to learn the basics of
success in their direct sales business. "I am simply not a born salesperson,"
they often say.
No one is born a salesperson, any more than one is born a doctor
or born a lawyer. Sales is a profession and one you have to
work hard at to learn. To be successful in any profession one must
learn not only the basic techniques, but also how to apply those
techniques. Success in sales makes use of all the abilities one is
born with, plus all those acquired through education and experience.
If you are looking for a career opportunity or "extra income" to
help with the family budget, direct selling offers you
dream-fulfilling possibilities. However, you must give yourself
time to learn the techniques of sales. Ask yourself. "How long
does a doctor need to study? A lawyer need to study?"
WHAT IS DIRECT SELLING?
Direct selling is marketing a product directly to the consumer
with no middleman involved. Most reliable firms are members of
the National Association of Direct Selling Companies. They bring
to the public fine products that are modestly priced in order
to insure mass consumption.
Most direct selling companies furnish their representatives with
a starter kit and essential supplies below-cost prices. In many
instances the investment is under $100.
Many direct selling representatives have been able to change their
lives for the better. They have taken their families on nice vacations.
They purchased a piano or an organ and provided music lessons
for their children. They saved money for college education. They
redecorated their homes, bought needed furniture.
The rewards of direct selling are many
1. You can be your own boss.
2. You can set your own hours.
3. You can own your own businesses with little or no investment.
4. You can pay yourself more than any boss would ever pay you.
5. You can give yourself regular raises as your business grows.
It is only fair to tell you that there are failures, too. There
are people who will not work for themselves. When working for a
boss, they rise early, are well-groomed, and get to the office on
time. However, when they are their own boss, they are still in a
bathrobe, drinking one more cup of coffee at 11:00 A.M.
If you can be your own boss and discipline yourself to do what
has to be done when it has to be done, direct selling offers a
most unusual earning opportunity.
Ask your self these couple of questions to see if you are right for
a direct sales business.
1. Am I an honest person? People need to believe in you if you
are going into sales.
2. Do I really like people? You are going to have meet a lot of
new people in your direct sales business.
3. Am I willing to learn? You will have to learn everything needed
to run a successful business.
4. Am I willing to work? Starting as a new business owner, you
will wear all the hats of your particular business. i.e.
Accountant, Sales Person, CEO, Advertising agent, etc.
5. Am I capable of being my own boss? When no one is telling you what
to do, can you push yourself to get the job done?
If your answers are yes, to these questions, you might be a good fit
for the direct sales field. Now, find a good product
for your direct sales market, one that you like, one that fills
the need of a lot of people, and go to work for yourself! .You
can turn dreams into reality.

Grow Your Customer List With Article Writing.
You can build a large list simply by writing articles.
Quite simply, you write and submit your articles on your topic of expertise or business nature to popular article directories where eZine publishers and readers are looking for the information you provide.
Leveraging your viral marketing efforts on article writing can be rewarding, if done right. In the real sense, you are actually proving your worth and demonstrating your expertise about your business through the articles you write.
So, how can this method in effect build your mailing list? The answer: the resource box you attach to your articles. In your resource box (also known as bio box), you include a brief detail about yourself and your business site together with its URL.
You say, I really am not a writer I wouldn't know how to do that. Then, PLR articles can be your way to go. PLR or Private Label Rights articles are articles you can buy, change (and I do suggest you change them, make them your own), add your name to and send out as yours.
There are a couple of great PLR sites that have personally used, EasyPLR by Nicole Dean is a
great site where you can go and just grab a packet and run. Nicole does not sell thousands of the same packets, she limits her sales generally to 60 or under, therefore if you buy one of her packets you will not see your article on everybody else's site. Go check out the packets Nicole has this month at EasyPLR.com
Another great site by two women, Alice Seba and Mila Sedman called All Private Label Content .
Offers an aray of articles to choose from also well written and always fresh material. They have a large number of topics on all sorts of topics for any niche site you may have. Just go to All Private Label Content and see what they have to offer.
Don't want to leave the guys out here, and one great guy is Kancien. He runs PLR Membership Online. Great guy with great information! His site offers monthly memeberships with great Free Private Label Articles Every Month!
He also has a FREE memebership that you can go get Free 1500 Private Label Articles right now, go and see what Kancien has at PLR Membership Online.
Lastly it is strongly suggested that your resource box at the end of your article, show your URL links to your mailing list's landing page where you can get your visitor's name and email address, which will in turn help you build your mailing list at no cost.
If your articles are found worth sharing, eZine publishers will republish your articles together with your resource box for their readers and subscribers. The wonderful result: viral marketing without effort on your part!
You can start by writing and submitting your articles to trusted article submitter sites such as http://www.articlemarketer.com/ and begin your article marketing journey today.

Don't Be Afraid Of Website Design.
As a web designer, you should design your websites to give your visitors the greatest ease of use, the best impression and most important of all a welcoming experience. It doesn't matter if you had the greatest product in the whole world -- if your website is poorly done you won't be able to sell even one copy of it because visitors will be driven off your website by the lousy design.
When I'm talking about a "good design", I'm not only talking about a good graphical design. A professional web design will be able to point out that there are many components which contribute to a good website design -- accessibility design, interface or layout design, user experience design and of course the most straightforward, which is graphic design.
Hence, I have highlighted some features of the worst web designs I've come across. Hopefully, you will be able to compare that against your own site as a checklist and if anything on your site fits the criteria, you should know it's high time to take serious action!
Web design elements you should avoid;
1) Background music
Unless you are running a site which promotes a band, a CD or anything related to music, I would really advise you to stay away from putting looping background music onto your site. It might sound pleasant to you at first, but imagine if you ran a big site with hundreds of pages and everytime a visitor browses to another page on your site, the background music starts playing again. If I were your visitor, I'd just turn off my speakers or leave your site. Moreover, they just add to the visitors burden when viewing your site -- users on dial up connections will have to wait longer just to view your site as it is meant to be viewed.
2) Extra large/small text size
As I said, there is more to web design than purely graphics -- user accessibility is one big part of it too! You should design the text on your site to be legible and reasonably sized to enable your visitors to read it without straining their eyes. No matter how good the content of your website or your sales copy is, if it's illegible you won't be selling anything!
3) Popup windows
Popup windows are so blatantly used to display advertisements that in my mind, 90% of popup windows are not worth my attention so I just close them on instinct every time each one manages to pass through my popup blocker (yes, I do have one like many users out there!) and, well, pops up on my screen. Imagine if you had a very important message to convey and you put it in a popup window that gets killed most of the time it appears on a visitor's screen. Your website loses its function immediately!
In concluding this article, let me remind you that as a webmaster your job is to make sure your website does what it's meant to do effectively. Don't let some minor mistakes stop your site from functioning optimally!
